3 Steps to complete your new project…

Following is a step-by-step outline of our capsule production process. Please use this information to make your capsule ordering experience easy and efficient.

Let us know the specifications of your capsule:

  • Are you looking for a Polylaminate or PVC capsule?
  • Do you know the capsule size you need (e.g. 29x55)? If you don’t know, just send us a bottle sample and we would be glad to find the perfect fit.
  • What quantity do you plan to use on an annual basis?
  • Send us your proposed artwork and PMS colors.


We need four items to get started – bottle, artwork, color (including color finish), and purchase order.

Bottle
Even if you have what might be considered a “standard” bottle size, an actual bottle sample will ensure the best possible fit for your capsule. Bottle mold numbers don’t always specify the ring gear finish.

Artwork
We will need your artwork with the script converted to outlines or fonts sent to us in Adobe Illustrator Creative Suite. This can be sent on a CD or e-mailed to our Design Team: ddelapo@maverickcaps.com

  • If you know the capsule size and material substrate, we can e-mail your designer a template to lay out the capsule artwork.
  • When e-mailing artwork, make sure to include a note stating your company name and the name of the project.
  • Include the top decoration you’d like – embossed and painted or printed. Serrated or embossed grape cluster is available at no additional charge.
  • Include the artwork for the tops.

Color
Please provide the PMS color(s) or color swatches and, if possible, a label. These will be used to create the color match for your approval.

Color Finish
Please specify the color finish for your capsule – matte, semi-matte, gloss, metallic, flor, brilliant, etc. It is critical that you provide color finish for each color and element in your artwork.

Purchase Order
Please include quantity, a brief description, item number, due date, and include payment for the custom tooling. We will confirm your delivery date when we receive your purchase order.


Standard lead-times are 4-6 weeks after we receive signed artwork and color approvals.

We create the final artwork
After we receive all the components above, it takes about 10 business days to produce the artwork and color approvals. The color approvals will be sent via FedEx to you or your distributor. We will post the artwork approvals on our FTP site for faster turnaround time.

You approve the final artwork
We ask that you sign and send the approvals back to us via FedEx within five business days. Please do not fax your approval as the critical information is not legible. If your order is a rush, this is where you can help us to stay on schedule.

We order custom tooling and start production
We order custom tooling for your capsule project (if required) which takes about 10 business days and then we produce your capsules.

Following are our print registration specifications:

  • Minimum band width 0.5mm
  • Minimum font size 10 pt.
  • Standard layout for Gravure printing is to print light colors down first and then dark colors on top
